Gaza Strip, April 23 (Petra) – Hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 39 bodies and 105 wounded people in Israeli bombing in the last 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Wednesday. The latest casualties took to 51,305 the death toll from the Israeli war that began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of injuries climbed to 117,096. The figures included 1,928 fatalities and 5,055 wounded people since the occupation army resumed the war on March 18 after a ceasefire, it said. The Ministry said an unknown number of victims were still under the rubble of bombed out buildings and on the streets, inaccessible by ambulances and civil defense crews. Meanwhile, Director of Al-Tahrir Hospital at Nasser Medical Complex, Ahmad Al-Farra, warned that children in the Gaza Strip are experiencing the victims of the worst malnutrition throughout the war, and it is hard to attend to them medically due to a shortage of medicines and baby formula. The Gaza Strip is experiencing stage 5, or chronic kidney disease, and that the continued blockade of food and medicine places the children of Gaza in a dangerous situation. //Petra//SS
