Amman, April 23 (Petra) - The Social Security Corporation (SSC) said a total of 1, 2024 indebted establishments have benefited from its Board of Directors' decision to pay or reschedule their loans since its implementation on May, as installment agreements amounting to JD396 million.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the SSC urged indebted entities to benefit from its Board's decision, which extends the 0% interest waiver on installment payments to June 30, adding that the ultimatum for tourism sector expires on December 31.

The SSC added that this decision represents a "golden" opportunity for all indebted establishments to pay their installments.

On its goals, the SSC said the decision came as part of its ongoing support to support Jordan's private sector and enhance its economic capacity to achieve "sustainability and growth."

Establishments with an active installment agreement or a rescheduling plan can also benefit from this waiver and submit a rescheduling request, in accordance with the SSC's applicable procedures, the statement pointed out.
