Amman, April 23 (Petra) -- The Cybercrime Unit warned social media users against publishing or promoting content related to banned or unlicensed associations or groups, including the so-called Muslim Brotherhood, which was dissolved by final judicial rulings and decisions.

The unit affirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday that it will not tolerate leniency in implementing and enforcing the law firmly and that legal action will be taken against violators based on the Cybercrime Law and the Jordanian Penal Code.

It urged social media users to fully adhere to the provisions of the two laws and refrain from violating them, whether by publishing, promoting, republishing, sharing or commenting, under penalty of legal accountability.
