61/ Jordan showcases at Tripoli International Fair, eyes stronger trade ties with Libya
Amman, April 23 (Petra) – Jordan Exports organized the kingdom’s participation in the 51st Tripoli International Fair in Libya, featuring 40 Jordanian companies from a range of economic sectors. According to a statement released Wednesday, the Jordanian pavilion attracted significant attention from Libyan and Arab visitors, including businessmen and investors. The Jordanian delegation, led by Jordan Exports CEO Yousef Shamali, held a series of meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring cooperation opportunities particularly in construction, services, food products, and pharmaceuticals. Both Jordanian and Libyan officials reaffirmed the depth of ties between the two countries and expressed a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation across multiple fields. The delegation included Fathi Jaghbir, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, and Omar Jwaid, director general of the Jordan Industrial Estates Company. The group also met with several senior Libyan officials, including Minister of Transport Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, Minister of Housing Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, Minister of Economy and Trade Mohamed Al-Huwaij, and Mohamed Al-Raied, President of the Libyan Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture.
