  14/ Death Toll in Gaza Rises as Health Services Continue to Collapse

Gaza, April 24 (Petra) – The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported that 50 people were killed and 152 injured over the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

In its daily report, the Ministry noted that the number of casualties could be higher, as many remain trapped under rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulances and civil defense teams.

The latest figures bring the total number of fatalities to 51,355 and the number of injured to 117,248 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression.

Since the resumption of Israeli military operations on March 18, following a brief truce, the toll has reached 1,978 killed and 5,207 injured.

The Ministry also announced that the Mohammed al-Durrah Children's Hospital, located east of Gaza City, is no longer operational after suffering heavy damage during an attack two days ago. With its closure, the number of hospitals rendered out of service has risen to 37.
