Amman, April 24 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti on Thursday received a delegation of senior advisors to members of the United States Congress at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.

Discussions during the meeting covered key regional and international developments, alongside joint efforts to enhance global peace and security, in pursuit of the shared strategic interests of the armed forces of both nations.

Major General Huneiti highlighted the depth of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, commending the continued support and attention extended to the Kingdom across various military and defense sectors.

The meeting was attended by the United States Defense Attaché and a number of senior Jordan Armed Forces officers. The delegation received detailed briefings on the latest modernization and development initiatives underway within the Jordan Armed Forces, which are designed to keep pace with regional and global challenges.

Members of the visiting delegation praised Jordan’s efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in combating terrorism and curbing cross-border smuggling. They underscored the Kingdom’s pivotal role in promoting security and stability throughout the region.
