21/ Student Environmental Conference Kicks off in Amman
Amman, April 24 (Petra) – Under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Rajwa bint Ali, the ninth edition of the Student Environmental Conference, themed "Waste Management," commenced on Thursday at the American Digital Schools, with the participation of representatives from various ministries, associations, and educational institutions across the public and private sectors. The conference aims to explore effective waste management strategies through the presentation of research papers and practical projects by environmental experts and professionals working in the field of ecological conservation. Director General of the American Schools, Safaa Rahal, underlined the critical role of waste management and recycling in protecting the environment. She highlighted the potential of advanced technologies to reduce harmful emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and support sustainability goals. Rahal commended the constructive engagement of participating entities in promoting dialogue on key environmental issues that impact daily life, encouraging interaction between students and decision-makers on topics of national importance. Conference General Coordinator Manar Abd Rabbo emphasized that ongoing technological advancements present valuable opportunities to better monitor, manage, and protect the environment.
