Amman, April 26 (Petra) – A massive explosion at the Shahid Rajaee Port near Bandar Abbas has left at least four people dead and over 516 others injured, according to an initial toll reported by Iranian state television.

The explosion, which occurred Saturday, prompted the transfer of hundreds of injured individuals to nearby medical centers, with local hospitals placed on high alert.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the blast, which erupted from containers stored at the strategic port overlooking the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian media outlets reported that a loud explosion shook the port early this morning, causing widespread panic among residents and workers in the area.
