24/ UN official warns of dwindling aid supplies amid mounting humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Amman, April 26 (Petra) – Jonathan Whittall, Head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, warned that relief supplies have been depleted and humanitarian organizations’ ability to operate continues to diminish as humanitarian needs soar across Gaza.

Speaking to reporters in northern Gaza, Whittall emphasized that humanitarian agencies, despite mounting challenges, are striving to operate wherever possible to meet urgent needs.

He noted that people in the besieged territory are facing suffocation and endless suffering as a result of the near-total closure for almost two months, with hospitals overwhelmed and critical medical supplies running out.
