Irbid, April 26 (Petra) – Jadara University, represented by its president Habes Zboun, participated in the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, hosted by the International University of Kuwait (IUK) from April 23 to 25. The event witnessed high-level participation from ministers of higher education, university presidents, academics, and researchers from across the Arab world.

During the conference, Jadara University signed several academic cooperation agreements with distinguished Arab universities. These agreements aim to broaden avenues for academic and research exchange and develop joint educational programs aligned with the development needs of the Arab region.

Zboun emphasized the university’s national and regional commitment to advancing education and scientific research. He noted that digital transformation is no longer optional but a necessity for building globally competitive universities.

He added that Jadara University is actively upgrading its academic and human resources infrastructure to meet quality and accreditation standards, highlighting the urgent need for Arab universities to transform into centers of innovation and knowledge production rather than remaining traditional educational institutions.

The conference sessions featured rich exchanges of ideas and expertise, with discussions on strategic initiatives such as the Arab Higher Education Area, the Arab Knowledge Bank, support for education in Palestine, curriculum development, linking educational outcomes to labor market needs, and strengthening integration among Arab higher education institutions.

The event concluded by stressing the importance of building sustainable networks among Arab universities and supporting digitalization and institutional development efforts. Jadara University's participation was seen as a significant step toward solidifying its regional presence and opening new horizons for excellence and academic cooperation.
