  15/ 7,818 establishments inspected in 1st 1Q 2025: Labor Ministry 

Amman, Apr. 27 (Petra) -The Ministry of Labor's teams inspected a total of 7,818 establishments in the first quarter of this year, while 5 inspection campaigns were conducted for specific economic sectors.

According to the quarterly report of the Ministry's Central Inspection Directorate, inspection teams approximately fined 2,386 entities and 1,757 warned others for failing to comply with the provisions of the Labor Law and the relevant regulations and instructions.

As for the labor complaints received by the Ministry's Himaya (Protection) platform, the figure stood at 2,194 in the first quarter of this year, including 1,309 grievances settled with employers and the complaining workers restored their labor rights.

222 tickets were issued against establishments that failed to comply with the Ministry's procedures, while the number of outstanding labor complaints approximately stood at 422, the report showed.

Most labor complaints received by the "Himaya" platform tackled non-payment of worker wages, while the fewest number addressed forced resignation of workers.

According to the report, a total of 49 child labor cases were detected by the Ministry's teams during the first quarter of this year.

27 tickets and 8 warnings were issued against violating establishments, while the Ministry received 6 reports via the designated link for reporting child labor (childlabor.mol.gov.jo) on the Ministry's website.

Additionally, the teams visited 45 establishments to ensure their commitment to providing nurseries for their employees' children.

6 tickets and 20 warnings were also issued against entities that failed to comply with the provisions of the Labor Law and the relevant regulations and instructions for institutional nurseries.

As for domestic workers' greivances, a total of 219 cases were resolved during the same period.
