18/ JoPACC, INJAZ renew cooperation to promote financial inclusion in 4 universities

Amman, Apr. 27 (Petra) -Jordan Payments & Clearing Company (JoPACC) and INJAZ, a local NGO, renewed their cooperation agreement aimed at promoting integration of digital financial services in Jordanian universities and expanding relevant awareness of university students in this field.

According to a JoPACC statement on Sunday, the agreement is part of the two bodies' "commitment" to empower youth and university students to receive the "necessary" knowledge by providing training sessions and updated data on digital payment solutions.

The drive also seeks to secure the "adequate" skills to beneficiaries to enhance their financial awareness and "competitiveness" in the job market.

Carried out in 4 governorates, this year's training sessions will be held for students from Yarmouk University in Irbid, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Ma'an, Al al-Bayt University in Mafraq, and Mu'tah University in Karak.

The statement said the effort aims to expand the program's implementation beyond the capital Amman to promote financial inclusion across the Kingdom.

INJAZ has worked so far to train university and school students on many issues, mainly financial literacy.

Based on its "extensive" experience, JoPACC will train INJAZ volunteers to transfer this expertise to Jordan's university students.

Under the agreement and the training workshops, students will have the opportunity to acquire "advanced" digital financial skills that keep pace with the rapid transformations in the world of finance and business, which would contribute to "greater" financial inclusion across the Kingdom.
