13/ Minister of Social Development sponsors B-LIEVE project closing ceremony
Amman, April 28 (Petra) – Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa on Monday sponsored the closing ceremony of the "B-LIEVE" project, implemented by the Education for Employment (EFE) organization in Jordan, in partnership with the Italian Coopi Foundation and with support from the European Union. The project aims to enhance the economic empowerment and social integration of target groups, including women and persons with disabilities. Bani Mustafa highlighted the importance of effective partnerships with EFE and relevant institutions, praising the efforts that enabled beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund to access training opportunities through the program and noting its positive impact in unlocking the potential of its participants. She pointed out that the updated National Social Protection Strategy includes an executive plan for employing persons with disabilities, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Labor, the Social Security Corporation, and other stakeholders. She underlined that these efforts align with Jordan’s commitments made at the 2025 World Disability Summit, recently organized in Berlin by Jordan, Germany, and the International Disability Alliance. Bani Mustafa further stressed the significance of the social impact achieved by linking the social protection sector to the pillar of improving quality of life within the broader economic modernization process, launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II in 2022. She noted that the consultations to update the Social Protection Strategy engaged the social sector, including associations, civil society organizations, and experts from international bodies, ensuring the incorporation of global best practices and creating real opportunities for future advancement. //Petra// AJ
