Amman, April 28 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, received on Monday at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Major General Nick Cowley, Commandant of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance military and training cooperation between the armed forces of both countries, focusing on expertise exchange, joint training, and the development of training programs, including academic and knowledge-based courses.

Huneiti highlighted the depth of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom, commending Sandhurst’s role in preparing Jordanian military cadres. He noted that the college, recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious military institutions, has graduated many Jordanian officers who later assumed leadership roles within the JAF.

Cowley praised the development and modernization of the Jordan Armed Forces, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening military cooperation, particularly in specialized academic training and research programs.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army and the British Defense Attaché in Amman.
