34/ ASU students win 2nd place at NYU Global Hackathon
Amman, April 28 (Petra) Students from the Applied Science Private University (ASU) Mohammad Abu Al-Rub, Sufyan Omar, and Shahd Joudeh representing Team EnergetiQ, secured second place globally at the 14th edition of New York University’s Hackathon, raising the Jordanian and ASU flags high among the participating countries. The achievement followed the qualification of five ASU students from the Faculty of Information Technology out of six representing Jordan to the final stage of NYU’s Abu Dhabi Hackathon for university students worldwide. This year’s competition challenged participants to develop software solutions to societal problems using quantum computing over an intensive three-day period. The NYU Abu Dhabi Hackathon is a three-day coding marathon that brings together renowned international computer science professors, successful tech startup founders, technology professionals, and project leaders at NYU to mentor talented computer science students from universities across the globe. //Petra// AF
