Amman, April 28 (Petra) -- The Southern Military Zone intercepted a drug smuggling attempt involving a drone on Sunday evening along the western front.

A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces/ Arab Army reported that border guard forces, in collaboration with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted the illegal operation.

The source indicated that rules of engagement were applied, and the drone was downed inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.

The military source emphasized the Jordanian Armed Forces' commitment to utilizing all available resources to prevent smuggling and infiltration activities, ensuring the security and stability of the Kingdom.
