Amman, April 29 (Petra) – The Jordanian Society of Dermatologists and Venereologists is set to convene its 14th International Conference in Amman from May 7, under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Wijdan Al Hashimi. The three-day event will host a distinguished group of medical professionals and experts from the Arab region and internationally.

During a press briefing, Sharif Mohammad Fawaz, Head of the Conference Preparatory Committee, said the conference aims to establish a specialized and interactive platform for dermatologists to exchange expertise and explore the latest scientific developments and innovations in the field.

He highlighted that preparations have been finalized to welcome more than 600 physicians and specialists from Jordan and abroad. Over 40 local and international companies will also take part in the accompanying medical exhibition, which will showcase the latest advancements in dermatological equipment, devices, and therapeutic products, with a focus on non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

Firas Qarqaz, Head of the Scientific Committee, noted that the scientific agenda includes more than 80 specialized lectures and 23 workshops, covering recent breakthroughs in dermatology, cosmetic medicine, and laser treatments.

He added that the conference, organized in cooperation with the al-Mustashar Conference Management Company, will feature comprehensive scientific sessions and interactive presentations, offering an enriching academic and practical experience for attendees.

Meanwhile, Ayman Qaqa, President of the Society and the Conference, underlined that the event serves as a key platform to solidify Jordan’s role as a leading regional hub for medical practice and education. He stressed the importance of fostering international cooperation and knowledge exchange with prominent experts in the field.

Qaqa also noted that the conference has received accreditation from the Jordan Medical Council for six Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
