16/ Civil Defense Responds to Nearly 1,500 Incidents Across Jordan in 24 Hours
Amman, April 29 (Petra) – The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) reported handling 1,495 incidents across the Kingdom within the past 24 hours, highlighting its operational readiness and nationwide emergency response capabilities. According to the directorate, emergency personnel responded to 1,323 medical emergencies, 119 rescue operations, and 53 firefighting incidents. The average response times were 7 minutes and 37 seconds for ambulance services, 7 minutes and 35 seconds for rescues, and 7 minutes and 36 seconds for firefighting. The CDD reaffirmed the full readiness of its teams and the continuous operation of its control rooms across all governorates, urging citizens to call the unified emergency number 911 for assistance when needed. //Petra// AO
