Amman, April 29 (Petra) – The Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) has announced the selection of Aqaba Digital City (ADH) as the host for its Disaster Recovery Center (DR Site), a strategic move aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of operations in the event of emergencies.

The initiative is part of JLGC’s broader efforts to bolster its service continuity and readiness, aligning with its vision for digital resilience. Aqaba Digital City was selected based on its strategic location, and adherence to international standards of data security and operational efficiency.

The announcement followed the signing of a partnership agreement between the two parties, represented by Adnan Naji, General Manager of JLGC, and Iyad Abu Kharmah, CEO of Aqaba Digital City.

The agreement underscores both institutions’ commitment to fortifying cybersecurity systems and sustaining operations under all circumstances.

Naji highlighted the importance of ensuring operational continuity as a cornerstone of JLGC’s mission to support national projects, noting that Aqaba Digital City’s robust infrastructure and secure hosting capabilities align with the company’s development and preparedness objectives.

For his part, Abu Kharmah expressed pride in the partnership, describing Aqaba Digital City not merely as a data facility, but as a comprehensive platform for building a secure and resilient digital ecosystem. He reiterated the center’s commitment to supporting digital transformation and business continuity efforts at both the national and regional levels.

The agreement reflects both sides’ adoption of global best practices in business continuity and cybersecurity, thereby contributing to improved operational performance and sustained service delivery in support of Jordan’s economic and financial sectors.

Established in 1994 as a public shareholding company, the Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation facilitates access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises, in addition to offering national export credit guarantees.

Aqaba Digital City, home to the Kingdom’s largest neutral data center and one of the largest in the region, operates with a Tier 3 global classification and a 12-megawatt capacity. It provides a wide range of digital solutions, including data hosting, cloud services, high-speed internet, and secure data exchange.
