24/ Akram Khreis named Honorary Consul of Ghana to Jordan
Amman, April 29 (Petra) – With the approval of Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Republic of Ghana appointed Akram Khreis, CEO of the IBC Group, as its Honorary Consul to Jordan. The appointment came in recognition of Khreis's "extensive" experience and "outstanding" efforts in strengthening Jordanian-Ghanaian relations, mainly in studying and promoting investment opportunities. The step comes within the framework of opening "new" horizons for bilateral cooperation and seeking to establish joint collaboration in various fields, particularly in economic, cultural, diplomatic, and tourism areas, which would contribute to building "sustainable and constructive" future ties. The Honorary Consulate of Ghana was officially opened in the capital, Amman, in a move that reflects the "deep-rooted" bilateral relations and the "shared commitment" to developing them at various levels. As for Khreis's "wide" experience in business and investment, he has previously managed International Beverages Consultancy Ph Inc, a company specializing in providing industrial infrastructure services in over 60 countries, including Ghana.
