Amman, April 29 (Petra) – A military source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) announced that the Northern Military Zone successfully thwarted two separate infiltration attempts on Tuesday.

In the first incident, an individual attempted to cross one of the northern border crossings. JAF personnel applied the rules of engagement, apprehended the individual, and transferred him to the relevant authorities.

In a separate operation, two boats originating from Syrian territory attempted to illegally cross the Al-Wehda Dam. One of the boats was intercepted and the person onboard arrested, while the second boat retreated back toward Syrian territory.

The source reaffirmed JAF’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to confront infiltration and smuggling attempts, emphasizing the Armed Forces' ongoing efforts to safeguard the security and stability of Jordan.
