31/ Minister Participates in Launch of Mediterranean Green Business Network Project
Amman, April 29 (Petra) – Minister of Environment Muawiyah Radaideh on Tuesday participated in the opening session of the launch ceremony of the "Green Forward – Strengthening Business Networks in the Mediterranean Region" project, which seeks to foster cooperation in addressing the global challenges of climate change and the depletion of natural resources. On the sidelines of the event, Radaideh held meetings with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas; French Ambassador to Jordan, Alexis Le cour Grandmaison; and General Manager of Expertise France, Jérémie Pellet. He underlined the significance of sustained cooperation between Jordan and the European Union in the area of environmental protection, highlighting the need to implement regional projects that confront environmental challenges, support the transition to a green and circular economy, and enhance the role of the private and industrial sectors to improve their competitiveness in global markets. Radaideh also met with the French Ambassador to discuss prospects for cooperation in the environmental field in line with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision. He stressed the strength of the bilateral relationship between Jordan and France. In a separate meeting, Radaideh held talks with Lebanese Minister of Environment Tamara Zein. The two sides reviewed shared environmental priorities and underscored the importance of exchanging expertise and strengthening bilateral cooperation to support environmental protection efforts. //Petra// AJ
