Amman, Aug 19 (Petra) – Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Lokke Rasmussen said on Tuesday that recognition of a Palestinian state had become a matter of time.

"All of us want to recognize it," Rasmussen was quoted by Reuters as saying. He added that Denmark would send a Hercules military aircraft to airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza, while stressing that this was not the best way to deliver emergency supplies but rather "an exceptional solution imposed by the circumstances."

On Sunday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had become "a problem" for Israel and for international efforts aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the war in Gaza. She noted that her government was considering measures including "political pressure and sanctions, whether against settlers, ministers, or even Israel as a whole."
