  23/ Jordan to host West Asian Women's Volleyball Championship 

Amman, August 25 (Petra) – The Jordan Volleyball Federation signed an agreement on Monday with the West Asian Volleyball Federation to host the second edition of the West Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Amman from October 1 to 11.

During the signing ceremony, Jihad Qteishat, Advisor to the President of the Jordan Volleyball Federation, expressed the Federation's pride under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah bint Faisal in hosting regional event.

Hesaid the championship aligns with the Federation's strategy to enhance the technical level of national teams by providing opportunities to compete against high-caliber opponents.

Qteishat highlighted that the Federation is committed to implementing its technical programmes, particularly those focused on the development and participation of national teams in Arab, Asian and West Asian competitions.

He commended the efforts of the national teams and their technical and administrative staff.

President of the West Asian Volleyball Federation Ali Kuwari thanked the Jordan Volleyball Federation for its pivotal role in supporting the success of regional volleyball events.

He noted that the upcoming championship is held in cooperation with the International Volleyball Federation and is recognised in international rankings.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Jordan Volleyball Federation by Vice President Suleiman Al-Assaf, and on behalf of the West Asian Volleyball Federation by Secretary-General Mohammed Salem Kuwari.

Members of the Jordan Volleyball Federation's Board of Directors attended the ceremony.
