2/ Typical Summer Weather to Persist Until Friday
Amman, August 26 (Petra) -- The Jordan Meteorological Department reports that typical summer conditions will persist across the Kingdom through Friday. On Tuesday, the weather will be moderately warm in most areas, with hotter conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low-altitude clouds may appear during the day, and northwesterly winds will remain moderate, occasionally becoming active. This stable weather pattern is expected to continue through the end of the week, with temperatures and wind activity showing little change. Temperature readings for Tuesday are as follows: East Amman will record highs of 31 C and lows of 20 C, while West Amman will see 29 C during the day and 18 C at night. In the Northern Highlands, temperatures will range between 27 C and 16 C, and in the Sharah Highlands, between 26 C and 15 C. Desert areas will experience higher temperatures, reaching 36 C during the day and dropping to 20 C at night. The plains will record 31 C during the day and 21 C overnight. In the Northern Jordan Valley, temperatures will peak at 38 C with lows of 24 C, while the Southern Jordan Valley will be even hotter, with highs of 40 C and lows of 28 C. The Dead Sea area will see highs of 39 C and lows of 25 C, while in Aqaba, temperatures will also reach 39 C during the day and 26 C at night. //Petra// RZ
