26/ Syrian team visits Royal Jordanian Air Force Command, which took part in fighting fires in Syria

Amman, Aug 27 (Petra) – A Syrian delegation of the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, led by the Deputy Minister, called on the Royal Jordanian Air Force command on Wednesday, where they were welcomed by its commander and the commander of the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces.

The visit is in recognition of the Jordan Armed Forces'- Arab Army (JAF) efforts to put out fires that recently broke out in several Syrian regions, underlining joint cooperation and support for the Syrian brothers during crises.

The delegation commended the rapid response and competence of JAF personnel, stressing that their efforts had an impact in controlling the fires and containing their spread.

They also hailed the "distinguished and professional performance" of the pilots and personnel participating in humanitarian and relief missions.

For his part, the Royal Air Force commander said these efforts were made upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander, and were a practical translation of the Arab Army's role in providing humanitarian and relief support.

He said the JAF will remain a supporter of "our brothers and friends in facing crises and disasters."

The two sides stressed the deep-rooted and brotherly Jordanian-Syrian relations and a keen interest to enhance joint military cooperation and exchange expertise, particularly in dealing with natural disasters and crises.
