17/ Jordanian Nursing Council Secures ANCC Accreditation for 2025–2029

Amman, Dec. 1 (Petra) – The Jordanian Nursing Council has earned international accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an approved provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for the 2025–2029 cycle, extending a record of international recognition that began in 2009.

In a statement issued Monday, the Council said it remains the first Jordanian institution to obtain this accreditation and has now secured its fifth consecutive renewal, valid through 2029.

The Council noted that the accreditation underscores its commitment to international quality standards and to strengthening the competencies of nursing professionals in line with national healthcare priorities.

The Council’s Secretary-General, Hani Nawafleh, said the patronage and continued guidance of Her Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, President of the Jordanian Nursing Council, remain central to the Council’s progress. He stressed that the renewal reflects Her Highness’s vision in building a robust professional development framework aligned with scientific advancements and healthcare needs in the Kingdom.

Nawafleh added that the accreditation renewal enhances the Council’s ability to support health and academic institutions in upgrading training programs, standardizing continuing education, and aligning specialized skills with evolving clinical and technological requirements. He highlighted the Council’s ongoing work to advance the quality of nursing care through competency-based education and training.

He commended the efforts of the Council’s staff, noting that their professionalism and dedication were instrumental in securing this international recognition. He said the Council will continue to support its teams to further strengthen its role in advancing the nursing profession.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center is considered one of the leading global bodies for accrediting continuing professional development programs. Its evaluation process includes rigorous criteria related to content quality, planning practices, and the measurable impact of educational programs on professional performance and healthcare outcomes.
