33/ Children from Gaza complete treatment in Jordanian hospitals
Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra) -- A group of 140 Gazans, which includes children and their family escorts, returned to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday via the King Hussein Bridge, after the children completed their treatment in Jordanian hospitals. According to medical reports issued by the hospitals where they were treated, the patients completed all stages of treatment, receiving the highest level of medical care, while their families received the best possible accommodation. The patients received the necessary medical care after being evacuated to the Kingdom via the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, as part of the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative, launched upon Royal directives to support Palestinians and alleviate their suffering. Since the launch of the initiative, Jordan had announced that patients and their escorts would return to Gaza after completing their treatment so that a new batch of patients may be evacuated for treatment in Jordanian hospitals. The process is in line with Jordan’s long-standing position in support of Palestinians’ steadfastness on their land and avoiding contributing in any way to their displacement. Meanwhile, hundreds of Gazan children continue their medical treatment in Jordan since medical evacuations began at the start of March. The Jordan Medical Corridor is one of several initiatives implemented by the Kingdom since the start of the war on Gaza. These initiatives include dispatching field hospitals and specialised clinics, as well as medical and food aid convoys. //Petra// AJ
