3/ Jordan, Saudi Arabia to Clash in Arab Cup Semi-Final Monday

Amman, Dec. 14 (Petra) -- The national football team will face Saudi Arabia on Monday evening in the semi-final of the Arab Cup 2025, with the match scheduled to kick off at 8:30 p.m. at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha.

The Nashama are aiming to book a place in the final for the first time in the tournament’s history as they continue their quest for a maiden Arab Cup title.
Jordan will conclude their preparations with a final training session on Sunday ahead of the crucial encounter, which has drawn wide attention from fans in Jordan and across the Arab world.

Head coach Jamal Sellami is working to settle on the best possible lineup for the match, though the team will be without striker Yazan Al-Naimat, who is sidelined after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury during the quarter-final match against Iraq.

Despite the absence, morale remains high in the Jordanian camp in Doha, buoyed by the strong performances delivered throughout the tournament, which have earned widespread praise.

Jordan’s national team has built a strong reputation at the Arab, Asian, and international levels, underpinned by a series of achievements, most notably finishing runners-up at the AFC Asian Cup and securing a historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup. Their impressive displays in the Arab Cup have further enhanced their standing among fans and media alike.

The team continues to enjoy strong official and popular support, a factor seen as a key motivator as the Nashama seek to deliver another landmark achievement.
