Amman, Dec. 21 (Petra) -- The Southern Military Zone thwarted an attempt early Sunday to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone along its western front, within its area of responsibility.


Acting in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, Border Guard units monitored the drone and implemented established rules of engagement, leading to its interception and downing inside Jordanian territory. The confiscated narcotic substances were referred to the competent authorities for legal procedures.
