42/ Fifth Season of Arab Visual Arts Exhibition Opens in Amman
Amman, Dec. 21 (Petra) – Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture Nidal Al-Ahmad inaugurated on Sunday evening at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman the fifth season of the Arab Visual Arts Exhibition titled "Art: The Culture and History of Peoples." The opening ceremony was attended by Senator Suhad Al-Jundi, Kuwaiti Ambassador Hamad Al-Marri, Tunisian Ambassador Moufida Zribi, Director of Irbid Culture Directorate Sultan Zghoul, President of the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association Ibrahim Al-Khatib, and a number of representatives from Arab embassies in Jordan. The exhibition is organized by the Dar Association for Culture and Arts (Dar Art Gallery) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture/Irbid Culture Directorate, featuring the works of 73 visual artists from Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. The three-day exhibition, attended by a large number of artists and enthusiasts, features 73 works encompassing painting, photography, ceramics, pottery, and sculpture. The diverse works, varying in size and employing a range of materials and techniques, reflect multiple artistic schools, including abstract, realistic, impressionistic, and cubist styles, in addition to textile painting. //Petra// AF
