Amman, Dec. 29 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi held a telephone call Monday with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Bourita to discuss ways to strengthen the longstanding relations between the two Kingdoms and review regional developments. During the call, the two ministers said they are keen to expand cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the interests of both countries. Safadi and Bourita discussed a number of regional issues, foremost the war on Gaza and the situation in the West Bank. They stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza, fully implementing its provisions, ensuring the unimpeded and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid, and moving toward the second phase of the agreement, while linking stability to a clear political horizon that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people. They also underscored the need to halt the dangerous escalation and unilateral, illegal Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank, and said coordination would continue on bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern. //Petra// AJ
