6/ Jordan Post Targets Debt-Free Status with Major 2025 Expansion in Services and Youth Programs

Amman, Dec. 29 (Petra) – Jordan Post launched a comprehensive strategy in 2025 aiming to eliminate its debt within five years while generating profits and fully servicing its existing liabilities, according to General Manager Hanadi Al-Tayeb. The initiative aligns with the kingdom’s broader economic modernization goals.

During 2025, Jordan Post implemented multiple projects to expand digital services and logistics, including establishing a customs center for e-commerce and express delivery and launching the Jordan Post International Training Academy to develop skills in e-commerce and logistics.

The postal service reported handling 2,780,000 incoming parcels via the e-commerce and express delivery customs center between September 2024 and August 2025.

In workforce and youth development, Jordan Post signed several agreements:
– A DHL Express grant to train 100 young men and women in logistics and e-commerce.
– Collaboration with the Ministry of Youth on digital entrepreneurship initiatives.
– A Ministry of Labor program to employ 400 Jordanians in postal distribution and logistics roles.
– Partnership with Safwa Islamic Bank to enhance financial services and with private logistics firms to expand delivery networks.
– Training 150 youth in digital skills through the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

Jordan Post also launched mobile postal units, extending financial and postal services, including money transfers, official notifications, and multi-currency card issuance, to underserved communities.

Other 2025 highlights included:
– Participation in regional exhibitions and conferences, such as SmartTech Jordan 2025, the Visa Global Forum, the Arab Postal Stamp Fair in Amman, and the Euro-Mediterranean Postal Union meetings in Morocco.
– Issuance of multiple commemorative stamps for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, Jordanian saints, and local communities.
– Engagement in social and community programs, including a blood donation campaign with the King Hussein Cancer Center, the Grape Festival in Fuheis, and initiatives supporting products from rehabilitation centers.

Al-Tayeb emphasized that the strategy combines financial sustainability with service expansion, workforce development, and youth empowerment, positioning Jordan Post as both a revenue-generating institution and a driver of digital and logistical innovation.
