Amman, Feb 25 (Petra) -- A slight warming trend is expected Tuesday as the kingdom continues to experience very cold conditions across most regions, with relatively cold weather persisting in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

High-altitude cirrus clouds will be visible as moderate southeasterly winds move across the country. The JMD has issued an advisory warning of freezing conditions and frost formation during the early morning hours in numerous areas, including parts of the northern and central Jordan Valley.

Wednesday will bring another slight temperature increase, though readings will remain 2-3 C below seasonal averages. Most regions will experience cold weather, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see relatively cold conditions. High-altitude cloud cover will continue with moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds.

The warming trend will continue Thursday with temperatures approaching seasonal norms. Mountain highlands and plains will remain cold, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience slightly milder conditions with light easterly winds.

Friday's forecast maintains cold weather over mountain highlands and plains, with slightly milder conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Mixed cloud cover at various altitudes is expected across northern and central regions, accompanied by light southeasterly winds.

Tuesday's forecasted temperatures vary significantly across regions, with Eastern Amman ranging between 9 C and 1 C, while Western Amman will see 7 C to -1 C.

The Northern Highlands will experience 6 C to -2 C, and Sharah Highlands a chilly 7 C to -3 C.

The Badia Region will range from 13 C to -2 C, and Plains areas from 9 C to 1 C. Milder conditions are expected in the Northern Jordan Valley (17 C to 5 C), Southern Jordan Valley (20 C to 9 C), Dead Sea (19 C to 8 C), and Gulf of Aqaba (20 C to 9 C).
