Irbid, June 12 (Petra) – Yarmouk University (YU) President Dr. Islam Massad and German TERN Group General Manager, Dr. Matthias Mutsch, on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop skills of the YU's nursing students to obtain a B2 level certificate in the German language.

During the signing ceremony, Massad noted the university's "commitment" to strengthen cooperation with various universities and global organizations in various fields and provide opportunities for YU's students to complete their postgraduate studies.

Massad added that the MoU also seeks to develop the benficiaries' skills in their specialization fields and obtain job opportunities that meet their aspirations.

Massad said cooperation with TERN Group aims to develop proficiency skills of YU's nursing students enrolled in the German language program, held in the university's Language Center.

Under the memo, he noted the two sides will cooperate to provide job opportunities for students in the German health sector after completing vocational training to prepare beneficiaries to join the labor market.

Mutsch, in turn, said the German company seeks to connect young talents and capabilities with international labor markets to achieve "sustainable" integration and build a corporate culture that adheres to employment standards.

Mutsch stated the memo will open horizons for YU's students to learn and use the German language and its various skills "more effectively" to network with the German labor market.
