3/ Injured Nurse Evacuated from Field Hospital in Southern Gaza
Amman, June 12 (Petra) -- The Jordanian Armed Forces on Wednesday conducted a medical evacuation for a military nurse who was wounded while on duty at the Jordanian field hospital in southern Gaza. Staff Sergeant Samir Hassan Mufleh Al-Amarat sustained a shrapnel injury while carrying out his humanitarian work as part of the Jordanian medical team deployed to the area. He was transferred by land and admitted to King Hussein Medical Center in Amman for further treatment. According to Brigadier General Dr. Sahm Al-Qusous, a consultant in general surgery, the patient is in moderate condition. Medical teams have begun comprehensive diagnostic procedures, including laboratory and radiological tests, before moving him to the relevant department for ongoing care. The evacuation is part of Jordan’s continued efforts to support medical operations in Gaza, which have expanded since the start of the Israeli war on the Strip. Under Royal directives, the Kingdom established a second field hospital and deployed specialized medical teams to meet growing healthcare needs in the enclave. Despite the security challenges, Jordanian medical personnel remain active on the ground, providing critical care to Palestinian patients and casualties. //Petra// RZ
