Amman, Mar 3 (Petra) –The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Monday hosted the first in a series of Ramadan iftar gatherings bringing together prison inmates and their families, in a humanitarian initiative reflecting the spirit of the holy month.

The initiative is part of PSD’s annual community and humanitarian programs during Ramadan, aimed at strengthening family ties, supporting inmate rehabilitation, and fostering their reintegration into society.

The first gathering took place at Juwaida Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, where a Ramadan atmosphere prevailed, underscoring the directorate’s commitment to the well-being of inmates as part of efforts to prepare them for a productive return to society after serving their sentences.

Similar gatherings will be held at correctional centers across the kingdom throughout Ramadan, featuring recreational, cultural, and religious activities in a family-oriented setting.
