24/ PM visits Al-Muwaqqar, Sahab, tours 7 industrial, health, educational sites
Al-Muwaqqar/Sahab, March 12 (Petra) – Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan visited seven industrial, health, educational, and social facilities in the Al-Muwaqqar and Sahab districts on Wednesday as part of his periodic field inspection tours. During his visit to three factories in Al-Muwaqqar and Sahab, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, the Prime Minister emphasized the government's support for the private sector and the provision of necessary facilities and incentives to expand such successful investments in the governorates, particularly in the industrial cities established in southern Jordan. This aims to provide employment opportunities for Jordanians in these areas and support the government's efforts in exporting abroad. The factories visited by the Prime Minister in Al-Muwaqqar included Al Rayhan Warehouses Company, with an investment volume of JD100 million and nearly 2,000 employees. The company exports approximately JD70 million annually, primarily to Europe and America. In Sahab, the Prime Minister visited United Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Company, with exports valued at around JD70 million, around 550 job opportunities for Jordanians, and factories in Saudi Arabia and Algeria, while all research and development operations are conducted in Jordan. He also visited Al-Wazir Detergents Manufacturing Company, with exports exceeding JD21 million. Both companies provide 200 job opportunities for Jordanians and contribute to the Jordanian economy and exports. Hassan also inspected the Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Center for Information Technology and Community Service in Al-Muwaqqar, where he reviewed the programs and projects offered by the center to train and empower women, educate children, and implement social awareness programs through the "Makani" program, which aims to provide a safe environment for community awareness for children and youth and enhance learning opportunities and basic skills acquisition. The Prime Minister directed support for the projects implemented by the center to enable it to expand its services to beneficiaries from the local community, provide it with new computers, and support trainees with equipment that helps provide sustainable employment opportunities after training. He also instructed the study of generalizing the awareness programs offered by the center through the "Makani" program to other centers providing similar services. Additionally, he directed the implementation of maintenance work for children's facilities and the rehabilitation of their play areas, completing the construction of the center's fence and providing necessary protection requirements, as well as providing transportation for beneficiaries of its services. Based on the results of the mystery shopper report, Hassan inspected the East Amman Department of Land and Survey in Al-Muwaqqar, where he listened to the observations of visitors and employees regarding the services provided by the department. The Prime Minister stressed the need to elevate the level of services provided to citizens and take the necessary technical and procedural measures to expedite the completion of transactions. During his visit to Maghayir Muhanna Secondary School for Boys in Al-Muwaqqar, he directed comprehensive maintenance of the school and the provision of playgrounds and facilities to serve students. At the Al-Faisaliah Health Center in Al-Muwaqqar, he directed the acceleration of maintenance for the center and the continuation of health services for the residents of the area during maintenance. He also reviewed the reality of services at the Al-Nuqayrah Health Center, which serves approximately 12,000 people.
