Occupied Jerusalem, Mar. 14 (Petra)-- Despite the occupation authorities' stringent controls at the gates and entrances of Al-Aqsa and the Old City of Jerusalem, over 80,000 worshipers performed the Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem.

About 80,000 worshipers performed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the second Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, according to a statement from the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem.

It's important to note that, in spite of Israeli aggression and efforts to limit worshipers' access to the mosque, Al-Aqsa Mosque frequently sees a large number of worshipers, especially on Fridays and throughout Ramadan.
