Amman, Mar. 14 (Petra)-- Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa, a member of the national karate team, advanced to the World Karate League Championship's second round final, which took place in Hangzhou, China, on Friday.

After winning five straight games, Al-Masatfa advanced to the under-67 kg weight class final.

Al-Masatfa defeated Frenchman Younes Salmi, Kazakhstan's Al-Besbe Qaysar, and Algerian Ayoub Anis three times to win his group in the first round.

Notably, the top 32 rated karate fighters in each weight class from all over the world compete in each round of the World Karate League Championship, which is regarded as one of the most significant and potent karate championships in the world.
