Amman, March 15 (Petra) – The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has confiscated and destroyed 9,200 liters of contaminated Ramadan juices, issued 630 warnings, and filed 152 violations during the second week of Ramadan, according to an official statement released on Saturday.

GAM’s Health and Professional Supervision Department intensified inspections on Ramadan juices sold under direct sunlight, which makes them highly perishable and prone to contamination.

Regarding slaughterhouse regulations, the municipality reported issuing 21 warnings, 31 health violations, and conducting five on-site meat disposal operations to ensure food safety.

As part of its Ramadan monitoring program, the department continued food sampling, awareness campaigns on social media, and educational lectures for traders, citizens, and students on healthy consumption practices during the holy month. The awareness messages reached over 3 million views on digital platforms.
