London, March 15 (Petra) – British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, David Lammy, expressed his deep concern over the horrific situation in Gaza.

In a post on his official X account, Lammy stated that he had spoken to UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths about the appalling situation on the ground in Gaza, reiterating the UK's support for the United Nations' life-saving work and mandate to help Palestinian civilians in need.

"Israel’s blocks on aid and electricity must end," Lammy concluded.
