32/ Authorities in Mafraq arrest man for attempting to sell dead sheep
Mafraq, March 16 (Petra) – Head of the health department at Greater Mafraq Municipality, Saad Jaraydeh, reported that a joint public health and safety committee received information on Sunday evening about a vehicle transporting dead sheep, which had been run over by another vehicle, attempting to sell them in one of Mafraq’s streets. The committee immediately alerted municipal health and market monitoring teams, along with the Royal Environmental Police, to take necessary action. Authorities located the vehicle and its driver on 20th Street before any sales took place. Upon inspection by the municipal veterinarian, the dead sheep were deemed unfit for consumption and were disposed of according to regulations. //Petra// AF
