  11/ JMC: 38 Competitors to Participate in Gymkhana Race at Dead Sea

Amman, March 18 (Petra) – The Jordan Motorsports Company (JMC) has announced that 38 competitors will take part in the upcoming Gymkhana race, set to begin Thursday at the Dead Sea Maintenance Area. The event, supported by Zain Jordan and Toyota Gazoo Racing, promises fierce competition amid an exciting Ramadan atmosphere.

The race will feature a unique format, bringing together the 2024 champions of drag, drift, and rally racing. Participants will be divided into five categories: drift, four-wheel-drive drag, front-wheel-drive drag, rear-wheel-drive drag, and rally.

According to race regulations, competitors will race in pairs on two identical, opposite tracks. Each driver will compete on both tracks, with the winner determined by the fastest completion time. In the event of a tie, an additional round will be held.

The event will progress through multiple elimination rounds. After the qualifying stage, eight competitors from each category will advance, with subsequent rounds narrowing the field to quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, ultimately determining the winners in each category.

The competition will see a lineup of skilled racers across all categories. Participants in the four-wheel-drive category include Mustafa Attari, Amir Nassif, Fadi Dahshan, Mohammed Shaheen, Raed Dahshan, Mohammed Al-Shorafa, Saif Al-Sheikh, and Abdullah Shaheen.

The rear-wheel-drive category features Abdul Shikhakhawa, Jad Nabas, Salem Taaima, Suhail Abu Al-Rous, Bilal Qablawi, Saif Mansour, Qais Tuffaha, and Taha Abu Aadi.

Front-wheel-drive competitors include Yazan Jumaa, Ahmed Jankhut, Mustafa Jumaa, Amjad Al-Hourani, Mohammed Al-Azza, Asem Aref, Mohammed Zaghloul, and Sedqi Abu Shakra.

In the drift category, Abdullah Hamada, Anas Al-Helou, Raafat Haroun, Ammar Habahbeh, Moaz Taha, Abdullah Al-Saqour, Ibrahim Al-Basha, and Fares Sarar will compete.

The rally category will feature Shady Shaaban, Issa Abu Jamous, Salama Al-Qammaz, Ihab Al-Sharafa, Bader Al-Hilalat, and Shaker Juwaihan.
The Gymkhana race is expected to deliver an electrifying experience for motorsports enthusiasts, showcasing top-tier talent and high-speed action.
