Amman, Mar. 18 (Petra) - The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced allocation of 137 work-related death pensions during the past year, 2024, bringing the cumulative number to 4,271 so far.

In a statement on Tuesday, the SSC noted the "key" feature of work-related injury insurance and benefits excludes the obligatory specific subscription periods to be eligible to receive its services.

The SSC affirmed the SSC-insured person benefits from these benefits from the first day of joining the workplace, provided that the work-based injury is certified by the corporation.

The corporation noted the allocated pension is paid to the eligible heirs at a rate of 75% of the covered wage on the injury date.

Additionally, the SSC stated an overall increase of 40% is added to the post-death pay and the corporation also pays a funeral expense allowance of JD700.
