London, March 18 (Petra) – UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, expressed his deep dismay over the civilian casualties resulting from the latest Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, describing the loss of life as "appalling."

In a post on his official X account on Tuesday, Lammy said, "The civilian casualties from Israeli strikes overnight are appalling."

"All parties must re-engage with negotiations to get hostages out, surge aid, and secure a permanent end to this conflict," Lammy added.

"Diplomacy, not more bloodshed, is how we get security for Israelis and Palestinians," Lammy emphasized.
