3/ Israeli Occupation Forces Resume Aggression on Gaza, Over 50 Palestinians Killed

Ramallah, March 18 (Petra) -- Israeli occupation forces resumed their aggression on the Gaza Strip early Tuesday with extensive airstrikes and artillery shelling, killing more than 50 Palestinians and injuring dozens more, according to Palestinian health officials.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the initial death toll from the renewed aggression exceeded 50, with dozens wounded, primarily children, women, and elderly residents. Many victims remain trapped under the rubble of targeted homes.

Five casualties, including two children, along with dozens of wounded arrived at Kuwait Specialty Field Hospital following Israeli occupation strikes on displaced persons' tents in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

More than 15 fatalities, including five children, and over 20 injured were transported to a Gaza City hospital after the Israeli bombardment targeted the city. Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat received 14 bodies following strikes on two tents in southern Gaza, plus more than 70 wounded, some in critical condition, from attacks on residential areas in the camp.

In northern Gaza, Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia camp reported receiving eight bodies, including six children, alongside dozens of injured after homes were targeted in the occupation's airstrikes.

Health sources also reported casualties from Israeli aggression on homes belonging to the Suleiman and Abu Tair families in eastern Khan Younis, as well as from bombardments on displacement camps in western Khan Younis.

Additional fatalities occurred when occupation forces struck a school sheltering displaced people in central Gaza City's Al-Daraj neighborhood, three homes on Al-Sina'a Street in Tel al-Hawa, and residential buildings in the Bureij and Nuseirat camps in central Gaza.

Rescue teams face extreme difficulty reaching targeted areas due to continuing heavy bombardment from the occupation's aircraft and artillery, according to local reports.
