20/ Youth Integrity Forum 2025 Launches, Highlights Role of Youth in Anti-Corruption Efforts
Amman, May 22 (Petra) – The Youth Integrity Forum 2025, organized by Rasheed Transparency International Jordan and sponsored by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (RIAC), commenced on Thursday, highlighting the role of youth in fostering integrity and combating corruption. In remarks delivered on behalf of the RIAC Board Chairman, RIAC Board Member Hazem Majali underscored the Commission’s belief in youth as catalysts for change and a just, corruption-free future. He stressed that youth are not only the foundation of tomorrow but also present-day agents of reform. The forum brought together representatives of government institutions, civil society organizations, governance and anti-corruption experts, and young men and women from across the Kingdom, including graduates of Rasheed’s Integrity Schools and Academy programs. Majali reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to engaging youth meaningfully in planning, implementation, and follow-up, as well as in supporting youth-led initiatives at universities and within civil society. He emphasized the forum’s goal of giving youth the platform to voice their ideas, take initiative, and contribute to tangible change, asserting that "real change begins with and through them." Rasheed Executive Director, Abeer Madanat, highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts to empower youth, noting that the forum reflects Rasheed’s dedication since launching the Integrity Schools project. She described the forum as a safe and innovative space for youth to participate actively and present their vision for a unified Jordan grounded in national integrity. The forum provides a platform for dialogue between youth, government bodies, civil society, and experts to promote a culture of integrity and accountability. It features three thematic sessions: one addressing Sustainable Development Goals related to peace, justice, and strong institutions; a second on media technology governance for responsible media practices in managing conflict and corruption; and a third focused on party governance and the challenges and prospects for development. The event is part of the "Youth Integrity 2024–2025" project, implemented by Rasheed with support from the German Foreign Ministry and funding from the IFA Institute for International Relations’ ZIVIK program, in cooperation with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. The forum marks a milestone in empowering Jordanian youth to confront modern challenges in integrity and anti-corruption. //Petra// AJ
