During the meeting attended by Azerbaijani embassy officials, Dr. Al-Debi'e noted the "deep-rooted" bilateral academic and cultural relations, expressing importance of developing them by signing a joint agreement regulating cooperation in the fields of higher education, student and faculty exchange, and scientific research.

Al-Debi'e noted "excellence" of Jordanian university graduates is a key factor to attracting students to pursue their study.

Al-Debi'e also referred to the mechanism for international student admission under the Kingdom's unified e-system to save time, effort, and cost.

Additionally, he highlighted the decisions of the boards of trustees of Jordan's public universities to treat non-Arabic-speaking Muslim students wishing to study Islamic Sharia and Arabic language specializations in a similar fashion as their Jordanian peers in terms of tuition fees.

In the same context, he reviewed "Excellence - You Are Jordan's Ambassadors" platform, recently launched by the Ministry, aimed to enhance contact with international students and graduates of Jordanian universities.

For their part, the rector and and ambassador underlined the "well-established" bilateral relations and the desire to strengthen academic and research cooperation, including hosting Jordanian professors to teach at Azerbaijani universities.
