Amman, Nov. 17 (Petra) – The Lower House of Parliament approved, by a majority vote, the amended draft law for the National Service and Reserve Service Law of 2025, as submitted by the government.

This occurred during a legislative session held on Monday, chaired by Speaker Mazen Qadi and attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and members of the government team. The session lasted four hours, during which 97 members of parliament spoke.

The Cabinet, in a session held on September 14, 2025, chaired by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, approved a draft amendment to the National Service and Reserve Service Law of 2025, to be sent to the Lower House of Parliament in accordance with constitutional procedures, to be presented as soon as the next parliamentary session is convened.
